NSW Maritime General Boat & PWC driver licensing
Marine Rescue NSW, ACN 138078092, ABN 98138078092, RTO# 70223 is approved by NSW Maritime to provide training and knowledge testing for the NSW general boat driving licences and PWC driving licence.
The General Boat license course includes:
- A theory presentation of 3.5 hours covering the content that is tested in the knowledge test
- The knowledge assessment required in order to obtain your boat licence
The PWC license course includes:
- A theory presentation of 2 hours covering the content that is tested in the knowledge test
- The knowledge assessment required in order to obtain your PWC licence
There are special identification requirements that apply to persons attending the course and sitting the examination. A list of documents for use as Proof of Identification (PoI) can be located here. Please ensure that you carefully read through the PoI requirements and attend with the required documentation otherwise we cannot allow you to participate.
Please note that the course does not include the practical requirements that must be completed in a log book in order to obtain your boat license.
The cost of the training and assessment is:
- General Boat licence only: $165.00 (for over 16 years) or $145.00 (for 12 to 15 years old)
- PWC license only: $50.00
MRSI requires a 20 per cent deposit when booking a place on one of our courses.
